Instructions
Heat olive oil and garlic in a large saucepan or pot over medium heat. Sauté garlic for 1 -2 minutes until slightly golden. Reduce heat to low and add crushed tomatoes, herbs, and sugar. Simmer on low for 15-18 minutes.
Serving Suggestions:
– Toss with cooked whole wheat noodles for a quick and healthy lunch. – Add browned lean ground beef or browned ground turkey breast for a hearty meat sauce for your pasta. – Use as sauce for a homemade pizza with whole wheat crust.
