Herb Infused Marinara Sauce

February 16, 2017 by Dinner Tonight

20 Minute Herb Infused Marinara Sauce
20 Minute Herb Infused Marinara Sauce

This quick marinara sauce is perfect for pasta sauce, pizza sauce, or a base for meatballs! The combination of dried herbs and canned tomatoes (with no salt added) gives you freedom to enjoy a quick, easy recipe without the added sodium found in canned or jarred pasta sauces. Reading food labels when choosing canned foods is always key! Be sure to choose tomatoes that have been canned without additional salt. The sugar in this recipe may seem strange, but helps to cut the acidity of the tomatoes. Enjoy!
