Ingredients
  • 1 Tbsp canola oil
  • 1 Tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 1/2 chicken breasts cooked and cubed
  • 1 cup chicken broth (reduced sodium)
  • 5 green onions with tops sliced
  • 1 Tbsp soy sauce (reduced sodium)
  • 4 stalks celery sliced
  • 1 can (8 oz.) water chestnuts drained and sliced
  • 3 carrots thinly sliced
  • 4 cups cabbage shredded
  • 2 Tbsp. sliced almonds

Instructions
  1. Heat oil in electric skillet. Add chicken, green onions, celery, carrots and cabbage. Cook on medium high 3 to 4 minutes.
  2. Dissolve cornstarch in broth and add to chicken and vegetables.
  3. Sprinkle with soy sauce and stir.
  4. Add water chestnuts and sliced almonds and heat through.

Ingredients
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 4 4-oz. lean, boneless pork loin chops
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 leek sliced
  • 1 medium tart apple sliced
  • 1 teaspoon rosemary fresh
  • 1/2 teaspoon grated orange peel
  • 1 cup apple juice unsweetened
  • 1 Tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 Tablespoons water
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  1. Heat skillet with olive oil, season pork chops with pepper, and brown chops in oil for 3 to 4 minutes. Turn chops; add apple and leak, Cook for 3 to 4 minutes.
  2. Add Rosemary, orange peel, and apple juice and bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 3 minutes.
  3. Combine cornstarch , water, and salt until smooth; add to skillet. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened.

Ingredients
  • 1 lb lean pork tenderloin
  • 1 1/2 tbsp low sodium teriyaki sauce
  • 1 1/2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger
  • 3/4 cup pineapple juice

  1. Trim fat from pork
  2. Slice tenderloin into 1/2-inch thick slices.
  3. Flatten with palm of hand.
  4. Coat a large nonstick skillet with cooking spray.
  5. Place over medium high heat until hot.
  6. Add pork and cook 3 minutes on each side or until browned.
  7. Combine teriyaki sauce, cornstarch, ginger and pineapple juice; stir well.
  8. Add to the pork. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer 3 minutes.
  9. Remove pork from skillet and spoon sauce over pork.

Ingredients
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon low sodium, reduced fat chicken broth
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 1 pound beef round steak cut into thin strips
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 red bell pepper cut into thin strips
  • 1/2 medium onion sliced
  • 1 cup mushrooms sliced
  • 8 ounces canned water chestnuts drained
  • vegetable oil cooking spray

Instructions
  1. Wash your hands and clean your preparation area.
  2. Mix the water and the corn starch together, stirring to break up clumps.
  3. Add chicken broth and soy sauce to cornstarch mixture and set aside. Pre-heat large skillet, and lightly coat the skillet with vegetable oil spray.
  4. Add the beef strips to the skillet and stir-fry for about 4 to 5 minutes
  5. Remove meat from pan and set aside and keep warm.
  6. Add the broccoli flowerets and stir-fry 2 for 3 minutes. If using fresh garlic, add it to the skillet, stir-fry for 1 minute.
  7. Add red bell pepper and stir-fry for 2 minutes.
  8. Add onion and stir fry for 1 minute followed by the addition of mushrooms and water chestnuts and stir-fry for an additional 1 minute.
  9. Return the meat to the skillet and stir in corn starch mixture.
  10. Cook and stir about 2 to 3 minutes until mixture is heated and sauce is thickened.
