- 1 pound extra lean ground beef 3% fat, 97% lean
- 1 16 ounce can unsalted pinto beans rinsed and drained
- 1 14.5 ounce can unsalted stewed tomatoes un-drained
- 1 cup uncooked long grain rice
- 1 cup water
- 2/3 cup salsa

- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef.
- Cook until no longer pink; drain.
- Add the remaining ingredients.
- Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 20-25 minutes or until rice is tender.

- Add tomatoes and flour; stir to combine.
- Stir in water, chili sauce, ketchup and Worcestershire sauce and bring to a simmer, stirring often.
- Reduce heat to a low simmer and cook, stirring occasionally, until the sauce is thickened and the onion is very tender, 8 to 10 minutes.
