Ingredients
Pears
  • 4 pears cored, halved
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
Nut Oat Crumble
  • 1/4 cup rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup pecans chopped
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp almond slivers
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar

Instructions
  1. Core and slice pears in half, place flesh side up on an ungreased baking sheet.
  2. Bush flesh side of pears with olive oil, bake in oven at 350 degrees for 10 minutes
  3. While pears are cooking, combine oats, pecans, honey, almonds, and brown sugar in a bowl until well combined.
  4. Remove pears from the oven and evenly distribute topping among the pear halves. Bake in the oven for an additional 5 minutes. Remove and enjoy!

Ingredients
  • 1 pie crust pre-made
  • 2 cup fruit blueberries, blackberries, cherries, pears, apples, raspberries, apricots, and plums work best
  • 1 cup 2% milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

  1. In a 9x9 round baking pan, place the pre-made pie crust and press down to mold it to the pan.
  2. Place your fruit of choice evenly around the bottom of the pan. For fruit like blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, and cherries just rinse and dry the fruit. For fruit like pears, apples, and plums, you will want to wash, core, and slice the fruit, and peel if you prefer.
  3. In a large bowl mix the milk, eggs, vanilla, sugar, and flour together. Then pour evenly over fruit and crust.
  4. Bake in the oven at 375 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes or until an inserted fork comes out clean.

Avocados are a great addition to any meal.  They provide a nice texture, color, and flavor to any salad, dip, or sandwich.  However, slicing into an avocado can seem a little difficult.

  • 1 white onion chopped, divided
  • 2 cups parsley leaves chopped
  • 5 teaspoons rosemary fresh
  • 2 teaspoons thyme fresh
  • 5 pound Turkey Breast or turkey roast
  • 1 cup chicken broth low fat, low sodium
  • 1 cup water

  1. Place chopped onion and parsley in the bottom of the slow cooker. Then place rosemary and thyme on top.
  2. Place turkey on top of onion and herbs.
  3. Pour 1 cup chicken broth and 1 cup water over turkey, onion, and herbs.
  4. Cook for 6-8 hours on low.
  5. Slice and enjoy with a delicious side.

Ingredients
  • 1 cup white rice
  • 2 cups water
  • juice of 1 lemon
  • 1/2 cup almonds sliced
  • 1/4 cup parsley fresh
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  1. Make sure your area is cleaned and hands are washed.
  2. In a large pot, bring 2 cups of water to a boil.
  3. Add rice to boiling water and stir frequently.
  4. Cook until done. Note: the type of rice you used will determine how long it takes to cook.
  5. Add rice to large mixing bowl.
  6. Add lemon juice, almonds, parsley, garlic, and salt. Stir until combined and enjoy!
