Skillet Lasagna
Lasagna in less than 30 minutes and on your stove top!
Ingredients
- 1 lb extra lean ground beef chuck or round
- 2 green bell peppers chopped
- 1 1/2 tsp garlic cloves minced
- 1/4 onion chopped
- 2 (15 ounce) cans unsalted tomato sauce
- 1 cup water
- 1/4 cup Italian dressing reduced fat
- 1 10 ounce package oven ready wheat lasagna noodles broken into quarters
- 3/4 cup shredded, reduced fat mozzerella cheese

- In a large sauce pan, brown meat and drain excess fat.
- Add peppers, onion, garlic, tomato sauce, water, and dressing and bring to a boil.
- Stir in noodles and cover.
- Cook on medium heat 10 to 15 minutes or until noodles are tender, stirring often.
- Remove from heat and sprinkle with cheese; cover and let stand 5 minutes or until cheese is melted.

- 1/2 medium green bell pepper chopped
- 1 cup elbow macaroni dry
- 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce unsalted
- 2 cups water
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup canned, low sodium pinto beans
- 1/2 cup reduced fat cheddar cheese low sodium

- Wash your hands and clean your cooking area.
- In large skillet, brown the meat.
- Drain off any remaining fat.
- Add the onions and green peppers to the meat.
- Cook for 5 minutes on medium to low heat.
- Add remaining ingredients, except cheese.
- Cover and cook on low heat for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add cheese and heat until melted.
- Serve immediately.

- 1/3 cup water
- 2 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon low sodium, reduced fat chicken broth
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch
- 1 pound beef round steak cut into thin strips
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 red bell pepper cut into thin strips
- 1/2 medium onion sliced
- 1 cup mushrooms sliced
- 8 ounces canned water chestnuts drained
- vegetable oil cooking spray

- Wash your hands and clean your preparation area.
- Mix the water and the corn starch together, stirring to break up clumps.
- Add chicken broth and soy sauce to cornstarch mixture and set aside. Pre-heat large skillet, and lightly coat the skillet with vegetable oil spray.
- Add the beef strips to the skillet and stir-fry for about 4 to 5 minutes
- Remove meat from pan and set aside and keep warm.
- Add the broccoli flowerets and stir-fry 2 for 3 minutes. If using fresh garlic, add it to the skillet, stir-fry for 1 minute.
- Add red bell pepper and stir-fry for 2 minutes.
- Add onion and stir fry for 1 minute followed by the addition of mushrooms and water chestnuts and stir-fry for an additional 1 minute.
- Return the meat to the skillet and stir in corn starch mixture.
- Cook and stir about 2 to 3 minutes until mixture is heated and sauce is thickened.
