Ingredients
Teriyaki Sauce
  • 1/2 cup reduced sodium soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper
  • 2 Tablespoons crushed garlic
  • 1/2 cup red onion thinly sliced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger grated
  • 3 Tablespoons rice vinegar
Skillet
  • 1 pound Flank Steak sliced into 1/2 inch strips
  • 1 medium red bell pepper sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 cup frozen edamame
  • 1/2 cup prepared teriyaki sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 Tablespoon fresh garlic minced

Teriyaki Sauce
  1. Prepare onion, ginger and garlic.
  2. In a small saucepan add soy sauce, water, brown sugar, crushed red pepper, onion, garlic, ginger, and rice vinegar.
  3. In a separate small bowl make a paste with water and corn starch. Whisk the paste into the saucepan.
  4. Bring the saucepan to a boil over high heat and then reduce to a low heat.
  5. Stirring occasionally, simmer for 5-7 minutes or until desired thickness is achieved.
  6. Store in an airtight glass container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
Skillet
  1. On a clean cutting board, trim any excess fat from the flank steak. Slice steak into ½ inch slices.
  2. On a separate cutting board from the steak cutting board (to avoid cross contamination) dice red bell pepper.
  3. Add ½ tablespoon of sesame oil to pan and cook steak to desired doneness with an internal temperature of 145 degrees. Transfer cooked steak to a bowl, keep warm.
  4. Add remaining sesame oil to pan and sauté garlic. Once garlic is cooked, add vegetables and cook thoroughly.
  5. Add cooked steak back to pan with cooked vegetables. Add teriyaki sauce and mix with all vegetables and steak.
  6. Enjoy this easy and quick weeknight recipe!

Ingredients
  • 2 cups edamame in pods
  • 1 teaspoon garlic mashed
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce Low sodium
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 teaspoons Sriracha Sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon sesame seeds divided

  1. Clean and prep your area.
  2. Cook edamame according to packaging.
  3. In a medium bowl add garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, sriracha sauce, red pepper flakes, honey, and ¼ tsp of sesame seeds and mix until well combined.
  4. Add cooked edamame pods to the bowl and mix until evenly coated.
  5. Serve hot, top with remaining sesame seeds, and enjoy!
  6. Note: To eat the edamame, put the pod in your mouth, slide out the edamame beans with your teeth, and discard of the pods.

Ingredients
  • 1 1/4 pounds chicken breast boneless, skinless
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 Tablespoon corn starch
  • 2 Tablespoons sesame oil
  • 2 Tablespoons Sriracha Sauce
  • 3 Tablespoons soy sauce low sodium
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger root paste
  • 5 cups broccoli florets fresh
  • 1 ablespoon sesame seeds
  • 2 cups cooked brown rice

  1. Wash and clean your hands and preparation area. Rinse any fresh vegetables under cool running water before chopping.
  2. Cut the chicken breast into bite-size pieces. Heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium to medium-high heat. Cook the chicken breast in the pan for about 5-7 minutes or until pink can no longer be seen.
  3. While chicken is cooking, combine water, corn starch, sesame oil, sriracha sauce, soy sauce, garlic, and ginger in a bowl and whisk together until well combined.
  4. Reduce the heat to medium and add the broccoli florets to the pan and combine the chicken and broccoli. Add in the sauce mixture then cover and cook for about 5-10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Remove the lid and continue to cook until sauce has thickened and chicken has reached a minimum internal temperature of 165°F. Top with sesame seeds and serve over brown rice.

Ingredients
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1 pound chicken breast skinless, boneless
  • 14.4 ounces frozen peppers
  • 4 ounces canned mushrooms drained
  • 1 cup brown rice cooked
  • 3/4 cup low sodium chicken broth
  • 2 Tablespoons low sodium soy sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 teaspoons ginger root grated
  • 2 garlic cloves grated
  • 1/2 Tablespoon cornstarch

  1. Wash hands and clean preparation area. Clean the rims of any canned food before opening.
  2. Cut the chicken breasts into bite-size pieces, removing and discarding any fat.
  3. In a small bowl, add in all sauce ingredients and stir until well combined and cornstarch is dissolved.
  4. In a large skillet heat up olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, place chicken in the skillet and let brown for 2-3 minutes. Stir and let brown for another 2-3 minutes.
  5. Add in the frozen peppers and mushrooms, cook covered for 5-7 minutes stirring once.
  6. Remove covering and pour in the prepared sauce. Cook for another 5 minutes or until the sauce has thickened and the chicken has reached 165* Fahrenheit.
  7. Serve 1/4th of chicken stir fry with ¼ cup brown rice.

Ingredients
  • 2 cups sorghum grain cooked**
  • 1 Tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 cup onion chopped
  • 1 cup frozen peas and carrots thawed
  • 2 eggs lightly beaten
  • 2 Tablespoons reduced sodium soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup green onion tops chopped

  1. Heat large skillet or wok to medium heat and pour sesame oil. Add onion and thawed peas and carrots, fry until tender.
  2. Slide the vegetables to one side of the skillet and pour the beaten eggs on the other. Use a spatula to scramble and cook eggs. Once eggs are cooked, combine with vegetables.
  3. Add and stir in the cooked sorghum grain to the skillet. Pour soy sauce over evenly and stir until well heated. Top mixture with green onion.
  4. **use cold sorghum grain to prevent mushy texture.
  5. -Prepare grain the day before or defrost grain stored in the freezer.
